My 18 inch HRE 547's are here. Now begins to search for tires.

The fronts are 8.5 inches and the rears are 13 inches.

There are almost no matching front and rear tires that fit.
The only ones I have found at Tire Rack are the P Zero Rosso Assimetrico's where I can get 335/30 18 and 245/35 18.
These sizes are the same as the OEM widths on my car now, obviously with a lower profile to match the existing height of the wheel & tire.

The difference in height is .3 inch less on the rear 18's and almost identical on the front 18's.

Any other choices out there for regular 18 inch wheel street tires?
I also have Hoosiers mounted on the 17 inch rims for track use.

The P Zero is an awesome tire, and looks great on the 547's. I have the Assimetrico Rosso's on the rear and the Nero on the front (better wet tyre). You will like them. Beware, the 547's are soft, so easily damaged with low profile tyres (not just curbs and potholes, but those little ridges on the highway where they are repaving, etc), but the good news is the cost of replacement outer or inner rims isn't that bad. Enjoy. Jim

you gona love them. they are the same that i use for several years now. they aged very well and are easy to keep shinny. mine did a 205 miles/hour run and many other speed run without any troubles. I never found any other tires sizes for the street use. We all are waiting to see them mounted!!!

PS, be sure to get load force balancing. I had to return 2 out of 4 Pirelli's (the wide ones are a bit tough), but Tire Rack was great, np.

I ordered the tires today from Tire Rack. They should be here Thursday and I'll mount them on the weekend. Pics will follow right after that happens.

Thanks for the good feedback guys.

What did you air freight the LM to your last Track event? LOL
We all saw the commercial for mothers and know that you spend most of you time over 200!!

    All in good fun!

take care of your shoulder, you need them for all the shoveling you will be doing in Colorado this winter. If you need a ranch hand let me know, I have been dying to come back to CO ever since my visit!!!

    Cheers,
    -Matt

Is there a story in there? OK, here's what happens to most of my mags...I put them in a special place to read at a special time, and my wife sees them and thinks they are just laying around and tosses em in the trash...geez. How can I break her of that?
