Anyone know the story on the 13,000 mile 1991 F40 in LA at the Auto Gallery that is for sale.

I'm thinking of trading in a few cars and getting it.

I'd appreciate any knowledge about the car or it's history.

Matt, I think he just wants to know if everything is legit. Original color, correct mileage and all the books and records.

Wes is a very cool guy. It would be awesome if he bought it.

Drop me a line if he wants some hi-res pic's of the car. I drive by it everyday.

If he wants pic's Have him call them and let them know I am coming so I can get access to the engine and the inside.

they're doing a major service right now w/fan belts, torquing heads, filters, etc

never been crashed, in great shape. 2 owners, they knew the first one... would need to research last owner.

not raced. orig turbo's.... having 13k is good in that less deterioration.

i can hook you up with the service mgr [outstanding and honest guy] and you can talk to him .

overall sounds like a sound car.

I contacted them about the car, waiting on a reponse on my trades. I really want an F40 or a nice Daytona.

I was interested in the car and any information anyone might have about the service history, ownership, etc.

Just wanted to make sure the District Attorney wasnt selling this one, LOL!

    Thanks for the help!

Common Armen. Owning two Turbo Ferrari's is better than one!
You know this is the one to fill the gap!

I believe I saw an F40 today @ approx 8:45am on the 405 going North about 10 miles short of Topenga? I'm not familiar with the area. Just my luck that a semi truck would drive right next to me for the duration while the F40 was on the road, I barely even saw it. I was with a pack of about 6 350Z's going on a run up to Santa Barbara.

What do U think it is worth? I believe they are asking $325K. What did the one go for that Bev Hills had about 4-5 months ago? that was a clean one too.

Where's the Tubi wing? Where the AirJacks? What about the bad ass wheels and seats?

I laugh at there $325,000 asking price, could have bought that car for $250,000 and got a 512 bbi, Daytona, The Devil Car, and parts. Damn that Miles Irish dude!

Now that I look at it, I guess it is. Explains why the wheel is different.

    Now I'll offer $225,000...lol!

    A LOT LESS NOW!

It might be glad to see San Antonio again though, I promise I'll keep it out of the DA's hand again! LOL

Seriously, I wanted the car, but they didn't want my trades, offered me $70,000 for my Challenge car, and didnt want my 360. For $70,000 I'll keep it. Kinda pissed me off, they had some chick call me that didn't know a Ferrari from her Louis Vutton wallet... She kept calling it a "Challenger" thought I was trading my Dodge or something.

F'em, they can keep Mel's car. I know too many stories about it now.

Are you sure?? The guy that bought Mels car took it to Carobu and did an engine out service, LM turbos, chips, Tubi and drop gears. The seats were also sent out for recovering. New tires too I believe. I drove Mels car. It ran real good. I didn't buy it because I knew it had been crashed. We are talking about the same Mel here, Right?

I never saw it with all the stuff you are talking about. But, I believe it sold for less than $250K. Then the guy did the upgrades I posted above.
