Wow, A V12 F40! You know, for a major ferrari collector that already had an F40 and an F40 LM an F40 with a V12 would be an interesting conversation peice. On top of that the original V8 would make one hell of a coffee table. Possibly the most valuable coffee table in existance?

It was nothing great, it was a 550 V12....a definate down grade from the V8 that came in the F40 IMO....glad he went back to the V8.

WOW, what a machine....now is that a real F40 LM GTE, or a conversion?
If I recall it is not a real F40 LM GTE, correct?

It is a real F40 GTE - upgrade with ALL the original Parts from Michelotto,
to get a real street permission with TÜV in Germany,
Ferrari is still the Builder in the Papers,
not Michelotto, but Ferrari gave the permission only for 750hp for the street.

The engine is tuned in Lichtenstein by Lehmann and Bosch

The upgrade was just for fun, not a crash was the reason..

The car and the upgrade costs more than 860.000.- EURO

This car was in the Ferrari-Porsche Challenge 1997 or 1998 (private driver) second Europa master..
but I can't find much over the race history in the web, because the website of the "crash-challenge"
    is closed...
    Driver: Dr. Andreas von Schuttenbach
Also Martin Krisam drove races with.

Now after the last modifications 2006, I think, this car is not to top...in this class

Nr: 91979 is listed as conversion:

well, i think it is a conversion. Was it born as a GTE ?
these are the GTE chassis numbers (and also build order):
    90001,
    82404,
    94362,
    85015,
    88779,
    84503,
and of course also the updated and again updated s/n 74045..

but i would it appreciate if you can share some proof from Michelotto or the factory about the 91979...
i'm always open to learn more about it.

    regards
    ivo

91979 was born as a standard road going F40.
I first saw this car 3-5 May 1996 during the Ferrari Days at Spa-Francorchamps, with then owner Von Schuttenbach. On the 4th May 1997 the car was again at the Ferrari Days in Spa-Francorchamps. While it may have been converted and modified later, it is NOT a genuine Michelotto built F40 LM GTE. That would be pure fantasy. And BTW the ONS Wagenpass even lists the 17-digit VIN wrong.

why should I do that? are you interest at the car to buy?
the documents of the car are two big folders !

I believe go a little too far publishing here invoces.
If someone wants to buy the car, can all documents see from the owner
    face to face.

In addition I am not a liar and I know the car and the owner very well !

Take it as published, it is true !

If someone has interest at the car, I can a test run organize,
I am also authorized with buyers to do a test run on the German highway...
We have unlimited speed here between Munich and Nuremberg !
I appreciate a test drive, so I can drive again with this car :)

The owner is also pilot and most time in Bahams flying.

    Thank you Marcel,

that is was i mean ...the VIN aren't the right one and it is a conversion to GTE Spec.
The real GTE are the one's that i already listed...
Well, parts could be purchsed by Michelotto - but a real GTE can't receive a street permission!

Yes a conversion it is (or an F40 with GTE - upgrade)
There are more F40s with Michelotto parts.
Only the ones listed by Ivo are factory(michelotto) built cars and all carry a Michelotto number with Michelotto papers.
91979 is still a very good looking streetlegal race F40! But for the price you could buy a factory F40 LM or Michelotto F40 GTE.
