Maybe I am going to see the car next week. http://bilder.mobile.de/images/autos/537770/11111111164986857-26843-1115372909.bild
http://www.fa-automobile.com/detail_vente.php?id=6&v=574# Same car offered by CN-cars in Germany. Who owns this car?
They say the GTE weighs 1100 kgs and is lighter than an LM , but a Euro F40 weighs less than 1200 kgs , so whats the weight of an LM ???? QV500 says the LM weighs 1050 kgs.

I have not seen photos of each individual car, definitively identified with the S/N. Therefore I have to say that I don't know about the colours. When they were raced they were both the same full EVO 2 spec GTE's to the best of my knowledge.

The 2 Risi cars ran in various colour schemes over their racing life. I suspect, though I am not 100% positive, that they are now both Rosso Corsa sans race livery. #74045 is still painted in it's "PILOT" colour scheme. It lives in England and has been seen at various events in the last few years.
I'm a little bit confused. Can someone tell me what changes (body?) the GTE underwent from v.1 to v.2?
What about the vents above the front wheels? Did those appear at a specific stage of evolution on the car?
Thanks, I went through that before... but still no answer to my question about the vents From the pics it seems as if they were introduced on the GTE Evo 2, but I'm not sure.
No, at Le Mans 1996 the "Evo 2 cars" (90001 and 82404) didn't have vents. neither 88779 and 74045 It depended on the race eg Spa 4 Hours, the 90001 and 82404 had vents. Specs according ACO for LM 1996: 82404: 3.6 liter engine, Carbone Industrie carbon discs, 8 piston Brembos (4 pads ) front and 4 back Carbone I. Enkei Rims, Koni Shocks, Hella lights, Sabelt belts. 6-speed X-trac gearbox 90001: IDEM 82404, BUT 3.5 liter engine! 74045 (F40 LM): classic 5-speed ferrari gearbox, 3.5 liter engine and steel discs, calipers ans pads all Brembo. Lights SIEM/VALEO, TRW belts 88779: classic 5-speed ferrari gearbox, 3.5 liter engine and steel discs, calipers ans pads all Brembo. Lights Hella, TRW belts. So only two cars had a 3.6 engine (82404 and 84503) So you can't talk about an Evo 1 or Evo 2 IMO
# 94362 Jolly Club car & Italian GT series winner in 1994 Rather amazing price I must say. Cavallino price guide says $360-430K FWIW
imo cavallino price guide means nothing. For a 100K less one could have bought an F40 GTE with more 'world' history (LM, Suzuka, Jarama, French GT etc) This F40GT looks apart from the spoiler as a GTE '96.........
I have seen several price guides quote a similar range for the F40 GT. Michael Sheehan also said a similar price a few years back in an article he wrote. In any case, recent actual auction sales are a better indication. Having said that, the price achieved for this car is amazingly high and I can't work out why it went for that. Can anyone offer a plausible case for it?
