This might not be 88523 unless huge mods were done by Pininfarina(?) Where is the roll cage? LM mirrors…? 88523 was supplied new in rosso corsa and lhd as all other F40LMs car should have engine No. 10 and gearbox No. 03 to be the real F40LM
Fully rebuilt by Pininfarina indeed. Electric windows, radio, AC... aside the paintjob and wheel drive change. It was crashed during testing after the work, but rebuilt again by Pininfarina. Jorge HG
and if it ever comes to the market original parts that came off and are no longer there?; the owner has a huge challenge. Original dashboard panel / electronics and many other parts are NLA and can not be reproduced. Good luck!

Reimagined is a good word also. Unless you have a serial # from the factory as an F40. It’s a copy... period. I think that since companies like Singer/Outlaw/Foose/Roadstershop/Kirkland/Superformance and others have demonstrated excellence in improving the older cars at an extremely high level, it opens the door for people to have another level of new technology experience/improvement with these cars. No need to be embarrassed or deceive people, go at your version the proper way, with the right budget, right people involved and have a ball with it. Interesting eco system that I’m discovering.
What a great post. Thanks for taking the time to compile. FWIW the Simpson V12 VIN is SEoGL1576AD45659 https://motorsportshowroom.com/competition-cars/1992-simpson-ferrari-v12-gtr
1989 Ferrari F40 "Competizione" | The Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este Auction 2025 | Classic Car Auctions | Broad Arrow Auctions | A Hagerty Company What do we think of this one? I think estimate is incredibly high for what is basically a race prepared F40 that was not done by Michelotto or the factory. But it sounds like it comes with the OEM F40 parts so could be 'restored' back.

Questions about this car. I’ve never seen this bonnet before, fixed headlight like an LM or a GTE but no opening in the bonnet for the radiators?
Also, same car, why isn’t the front wheel centered in the wheel well? Image Unavailable, Please Login
