Im sportin' wood looking at that beauty!!!! The F40 is the ultimate ferrari to me. Very brutal, like a true racecar for the street. I wish they made more LM's so they would be a bit more obtainable. What are the major differences between the F40 vs F40LM vs F40GTE. I realize that they all have different turbos and engine managment/ Brakes and Suspension. Doesnt the LM lower the engine in the chassis etc. Anyone have a website that compares the evolution of the F40's??
Basically GTE>LM>F40 The GTE is even lighter , has a 3.6 engine , more Hp and carbon brakes ( and a sequential gearbox ) . Ultmiate F40 !
Omg...by the sounds of that it really is the ultimate F40!! Do you know how much more HP it has? and carbon brakes?! - thats amazing. Anyone also know how many were actually made? thanks for that.
The GTE is a race car btw. Dunno if u know but i dont want u to get excited about a road version like that ( i dream about one everynight soo ) It has around 700 HP in raceversions but unrestrictered they made 800 HP for a bit more or less than a ton http://www.qv500.com/ferrarif40p10.htm
Roland will have the F-40LM in Vegas during the Scuderia Rampage. Here is a picture from one of the Add's. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Many differences between the models from 1990 and the GTE 94. Beside displacement, turbo, brakes , gear box and some ground effects. I upgrade my 1990 with the ground effects but stiil have the 2.9l engine. With less boost etc.. it's "drivable" on the road !!! The engine is way lower in the chassis, just look at the cross member from one shock tower to the other side...It's as different than a Ford Taurus to a Nascar Taurus!! (nice comparaison isn't it ??) The LM will be in Vegas for the Scuderia Rampage event and will be doing all the road/track events wity all of you. Seeing that this car looks so awesome i thought i'd bring it back!! There is also an LM GTE Evo 2 which does not have a sequential box (but instead a quick shift gear lever) fitted with a 3.6 liter motor producing 720 hp and an ungodly amount of torque for racing and larger BHP. So there is the F40, F40 LM, F40 LM GTE and F40 LM GTE Evo 2?? - is this right? Found a couple of sites with good info on them too: http://www.ferraris-online.com/cars/84503/84503a.html http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/267102 if this is the case i think for me the GTE Evo 2 has to be the ultimate ferrari!!!!
the LM isn't street legal right..? so why do i spot a supercar rally sticker on the LM shot by nathan? or am i misjudging?
