Just bought 1990 F40. Headlight switch is broken. Called dealer and he says new one is $647. Was wondering if there is an alternative, hard to believe that Ferrari designed electrical components for this car, is there a crossover with a Fiat or other car?
By the way the car is awsome, accelerates like a rocket sled. Planning a trip to Dallas (I live in Oklahoma North of Tulsa), but notice that the car is quite thirsty. Anyone have feedback regarding mileage and range on the highway?
    Thanks,
    John

Remove right foot from gas pedal, observe position of pedal, then lessen the depth of the "push" from the right foot. If this results in less "fun", then resort to orginal position of throttle.

I installed my Cos switches in my race car. Maybe they will work in your F40 also.
    Check http://www.Hubbell.com

go to the marine division to see our switches, I guarantee they are better than FIAT switches ;)

It may not be as thisty as you think. When my reserve light is on, I still have 10 gallons left.
My owners manual shows 22 highyway, 13 city. Your results may vary....
