Verde Abetone? Beautiful color, stunning, rich, and with a hint of British Elegance, Bravo! But on an F40? Not-so-much, sorry, wrong car, the color belongs on a vintage front-engined Ferrari, where it looks so right, whereas, here it looks contrived, as if done only for the purpose of likes and followers, by someone who is not sure about Ferrari's heritage. Besides, the F40 was the Old Man's final painting, his last will & testament as bestowed upon all Ferraristi, and he declared them all be painted in Ferrari Racing Red as was his dying wish, so, for that reason alone, I like to show the maker and his artisans some respect, and paint an F40 in the one color that it can be recognized in from a mile away as the automotive icon it is. Hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving, and never change below 6,000! PS - is there a thumbs-down button?
The svelte lines of the F40 appear to get lost in deep colours such as that green plus the blue and black versions. Red does show them off but yellow really seems to make them pop even more. If its the owners fave colour then good for them, but if they are trying to simply stand out from the sea of red F40s then its a bit of a fail for me as well.
Doesnt suit the F40 at all. Same as the blue didnt. F40s for me are red, maybe yellow..and possibly argento.
We asked 7 F40's what their favourite colour was: Image Unavailable, Please Login F40 on Italian mountain passes with like minded company never gets old. Our last blast in the Apennines before the winter.
Agreed. I'm okay with one, a group, or a whole sea of F40s in racing red! I might begin to feel differently if Maranello painted their F1 cars in other colors Again, agreed. PS - the owner is of course free to paint their property any color they like Image Unavailable, Please Login
I prefer details sometimes... Compared with new cars F40 is Efficient, nothing technologic. Image Unavailable, Please Login

I'm posting some of the cars we've touched on our new IG https://www.instagram.com/p/BcGrGtBHiHG/?taken-by=joesackeyclassics https://www.instagram.com/p/BcA1DsDnKR3/?taken-by=joesackeyclassics https://www.instagram.com/p/BcA0okUHp4m/?taken-by=joesackeyclassics
Thank you! That means a great deal. Really. There's an ocean of crap there but also some wonderful islands comprising superbly warm characters; enthusiasts, specialists and owners. Here too, just a different vibe. And I like understanding the differences. Cheers.
I like the fact that you post only your cars and it's clear your goal is to share your passion and absolutely nothing else. Like you said there is an ocean of Wannabe's on IG, peope posting everything and nothing at the same time, their car, other cars, well... crap.
