    Huh? That is a 959.

Nice article....the F40 makes the 959 look "normal"!

A pic from Cavallino last year...Roland's F40 modificata/resto-mod/phoenix/"fill in whatever you want here" is in the foreground, and next to it is Gerald Johns example. Next to Geralds car is my baby :)

It was interesting to note the judges reaction to Roland's car when they got to it...it was sort of a confused circling as if to say "what do we do with it ?". Kudos to Roland for building it the way he wanted to. I don't think he intended to pass it off as an original car in any variant of the F40...its just too unique, with too many mods to be called original. I bet its a hell of a car to track though.

Some of the instruments/dials look identical to the Esprit V8 ones (I can't remember if it was the tach or the speedo).

I assume you mean this one. This one from NY was also used on the track days as the slicks might suggest ! The owner was a very nice fellow, very down to earth and enjoyed his car to the max.

Good choice for a vanity plate. Interesting how many of these pics display some sort of remedy for the "F4o vaccum cleaner" effect. Did these additions alter judging? Nice pics Jas...

I'm sure it would have Harry, it would be the easiest way to discern between two cars. They were quite picky about that.

pardon my ignorance, but what is the vacuum cleaner effect you are speaking of? dirt being picked back through the rear vent?

some more amazing shots there, Jas :)

description I stole from the other thread in this section about the vents in front of the running boards that allows for a hefty accumulation of stones.
