I do have the LM exhaust (but mine is from X-Ost in Maranello, not Tubi) but the thingy I was pointing at is before the point where the exhaust bolts on. Maybe it is some sort of spark arrestor, and maybe it's only on the 92s, because if this IS Chris' car, I believe his was a 92.

Really? Which one? I don't know any circumstances under which I'd let my F40 go. If I went dead broke, I'd rather sleep in it and live without a house than sell it. :)

That is a catalist for the wastegate pipe. All US F40 have them unless removed. Quite expensive to replace if missing.

I'm 99% sure that this is (was) Chris' car... However, I couldn't tell you for sure on if his is (was) a '92. Furthermore, I'm almost shocked that we haven't heard from Mr. Parr in quite some time, especially with him (apparently) selling his mighty F-Four-Ohhhh

I've ridden in the car, and was almost certain it is/was Chris' - I've still got the episode of Dream Car Garage saved on my TiVo :D

I loved my F40, and it is possible I will own another.

Wes and I have been talking for several months and we finally reached an agreement that was good for both of us.

I have a couple of projects I have started, I bought a Fly Yellow 2001 550 that is going to get upgraded suspension, brakes, wheels exhaust etc. I don't like paddles so a 575 was never in the running.

I have a deposit on a 333SP that is being inspected as we speak, I will let you know more as that progresses, the current owner has sworn me to secracy. (If the the 333SP does not work out, I will buy a REAL LM)

I know Wes will be a good care taker of my F40 and it is nice to have a made a friend in the process.

If you happen to run across a Fly Yellow 550 in Kansas say hi!

Anytime you want to drive your old 40, just give me a call. You can bring that 333SP down to Texas and we'll have a little track day. :)
Thanks again for such a great car!

    Chris:

Sorry to see your F40 go (you have to update your FChat profile, btw), but glad to see you're replacing it with something else that is insanity on wheels. :) I hope you'll still be as generous with your F40 repair and upgrade advice as you have been in the past with me. I have greatly appreciated your help.

    Chris,

Good luck with whatever car you end up with. Either way, a F40LM or 333SP will be amazing.

Thanks for sharing your car and experiences in Forza #42. That issue was one of the factors that convinced me to get my car. Although we've never met, I just wanted you to know that your generosity does help us all.

    Thank You

    Simon

TexasMike, was this F40 in Boulder, CO recently for service at Scuderia Ramparte? I saw one with the same rear wing extension and was wondering if it was yours.

There is another F40 there now. Here are a couple of pics. No idea whose it is.

No, my friend's F40 wasn't in Colorado any time recently. Several F40s have the LM wing.

Nice F40... Is that a 410 SA in the background?

No, it is a 250 GT Boano. I have pics posted on another thread of that one. It is stunning (as is the F40).
