I'm about to purchase an F40 for a client(please contact me if you have one you are selling). Being that I have never dealt with an F40 but deal with ferraris, I need to know what to look for on these cars.

    thanks

Just keep in mind that F40 drive better when they have some milage on them. So look for something with a few miles on it rather than a garage queen.

Not true, if the car was maintained it would be fine.

But, these cars need to be driven!

Ryan, agreed if it was maintained it should be just fine.

But perhaps you shouldnt make a blanket statement that its "Not true" that some cars "drive better when they have some mileage on them" as Andric suggests.

The fact is SOME Ferrari F40s DO drive better with mileage, and his sentiments were clearly disposed to dispense the thought that a car that has a few miles may be a viable option (not to mention costing a bundle less) ...

Yea the guy is looking for a driver for sure, so miles are ok. I have an Alfa Romeo, and I know if it sits, it breaks or soon after I begin driving it again....
I would assume the same thing happens with the f40.

Im looking to get info on what I should be looking for when im inspecting the car, or obvious indicatiors of the manner that it has been driven/maintained. what are some warning/indications signs strictly associated with the F40.
