Any suggestions for replacement rotors for the standard factory issue, grooved preferably, not cross-drilled. Also what pad would suit said rotors. Mg
We did this a lot in the 90's as OE was so pricey. Used both Brembo and Alcon rotors. Turns out the OE Brembo is a size shared by Cup cars and others (Trans Am, etc.). For max performance I recommend the Alcon as thier metalurgy is a little different and they lasted longer under track conditions but were more expensive. Brembo changed thier mount ears design and we had to machine the lip from the rotor hat, not a big deal; Brembo may have changed this again, I haven't done this mod for a long time. Use slotted only for maximum life and performance under track conditions, choose drilled for the OE look. Pads, lots of good options; I'm biased toward Pagid, the OE supplier. Pagid blue was the original factory spec pad. Call a Brembo or Alcon dealer they've had this application for 20 years. You can also go with one of FChat's many performance parts suppliers. Best, Rob
I have a new set of brembo replacement rotors that are slotted and drilled. From what I understand they are not offered this way anymore. contact me if you are interested.
