Hi everyone. I have the original seats for my F40 wrapped in plastic on a shelf in my garage. The previous owner installed OMP racing seats, which are OK... but they are showing signs of wear.

What options are available for replacement seats? I want to keep the race harnesses in, and I like the look of the seats in this one (I like the "wings" near the top):

I'd appreciate part numbers and/or pics of suggested seats if anyone can provide them.

    Thanks,

    Steve

why not install the original seats, they look to be good seats. kevlar shell to boot

if you're going to replace them, id go w/ another carbon or kevlar shelled one piece bucket of proper grade or else you're taking a big step down.
recaro makes some beautiful seats, and theyre comfy for larger bodies (american sized).
They have a few styles of racing buckets and most are available in CF if you want to spend the $$$. I think they weigh like 12lbs for the CF seats.
Never had any experience w/ OMP but if you like them, get them again.
Maybe call up OMP and ask them if they have replacement seat covers and replacement foam.

Steve, there are tons of race seat choices, have a look around. I have always enjoyed Sparco seats, particularly the Evo.

Node, I don't think Steve wants the original seats because they are only made to fit one American buttcheek in them. Have to practically sit sideways!

I found them tighter than Elise seats, although not as ridiculous as trying to fit in 'medium' sized OMP seats in a 355.

I want to keep my original seats in the plastic. I don't like the looks of them, to be honest.

And while I appreciate those who have chimed in (I really do appreciate it) I'm really looking for some input from F40 owners who have bought seats and who can provide some advice based on their experience. Again, part numbers, links, and/or photos are appreciated.

    Steve,
The seats in the picture you posted are Euro seats. You can see a picture of the Ferrari Parts book and a pair of those seats at the link I posted a while back.

I have these seats in my car with race belts on clips (to easily remove when not tracking the car) and Euro seatbelts for ease of driving around town. The Euro Seats and belts are much more user friendly than the U.S. set up and I have found that the one does not work as well without the other.
How are your race lap belts attached to the car? Do you have a sub belt?

PS. You can have your seats recovered if that is the only thing you don't like about them. My stock seats are recovered in leather duplicating the stock patern. I have been thinking of maybe trying some Alcantera.

Recaro Profi SPA or SPG, it's the only thing I can sit in! Maximum waist size of about 32" (they sell an XL version too) and they have a built in ASM hole and are FIA homologated. If you don't have anything against them I recommend jetting over to Speedware and giving the seat a shot! My body actually forms the seat's position when I sleep at night!
