Anyone know if these can still be ordered? Anyone know of a car that might have them? These are ultra rare. I’ve only seen them on a few occasions on Micheloto spec’d 348’s and on the F355 Competizione. I’ve also seen a race spec’d 348 on Youtube with them.

If anyone has any leads, I have a proposal for the owner of them :).

I had similar ones on my road legal 355 challenge.... car was sold to canada 15 years ago!

I just bought some carbon fiber plates at a local shop and we installed them. Not as beautiful as the Michelotto solution. Maybe call Cristiano Michelotto and ask if he still has some?

$1250 for 2 flat pieces of carbon. That's insane. I don't know anyone making the f40 style panels but I have the ability to do so. I could be persuaded to make some molds and crank a few sets out.

I don't think that's crazy money. Especially if they are cosmetically near perfect

The ones on ebay out of Canada are literally two sheets of carbon cut to fit the door. No way that's worth 1250$. The m-tecnologia ones are done right but are around 1700$ without shipping from Japan.

I'm hoping Ken makes some :D

The hard part with the f40 style is the inset detail in the center. The only way to get that on the 348 is to either build out around it making the door panel stand off a little more, or cut the door structure out and remove the windows and mechanism to get the exact same look and effect. Full out race car with removable lexan perfect, anything else would need a little different execution.
It would be really nice to make something that looked very similar to the f40 door panel and have it relocate the factory door handle and window switches in a clean simple way. I can imagine that would be appealing to a lot of people. Could still clear the challenge cage too and maintain all factory door internals. There seems to be a fair amount of space between the cage and the doors.

Good observation. Gruppe M also makes a door card very similar to M Tecnologia's , if not exact. There's a picture I will attach showing the side profile to be fairly thin... just like the OEM leather door card. But if you pay close attention, the F40 style (Michelotto) door card is thicker and protrudes more into the interior, so it is possible nothing in the door frame needs to be cut.

Also, the cars I've seen with the Michelotto door card are running fixed lexan windows, which means lots of auto window mechanisms removed. F40 is running a manual knob. That's probably the best bet. The wire in the middle of the door that just hangs is the door's unlocking mechanism, which you just pull down to open the door. Same as F40.

The 360 doors are more along what I envision with the factory 348 door handle being moved to that sort of execution.

The cable pull for the door handle would be very easy to do with the latch mechanism. Definitely more simple and race car.
Who has some extra door shells that I can barrow to make these? I dont think I'm willing to cut my doors quite yet.

would be best if no cutting required. Looks like door inner frame might be removable by unbolting.

The F355 Challenge Regulation Manual states that these door cards can be made of "black fabric, black thermoplastic K, or a similar material."
