Took my F40 to the local dealer who advised me that my tach is broken and a spare does not exist at Ferrari.it, FNA or Rutlands. It has to be rebuilt at some west coast shop that could take months. The dealer jump started the battery as it would not hold its charge. The ECU is Ok but for some reason the Tach is bad. They can't tell why. Anyone have any experience with a shop that can handle a rebuild in a reasonable time or a swap with a contempoary car to 1990? Thanks

It sounds as though they are planning on sending it to Palo Alto Speedo. They are quite popular for some reason in the Ferrari world.

I just used them for the last time. It took them 4 months to do a standard electronic clock movement install on a 308 clock for me. When I could get them to talk at all it was all excuses and B.S.

Whatever you do, do not let them send it there.
