A bad battery and constant charging by my mechanics smoked my US F40. Dealer couldn't find a replacement. I found one thru a parts dealer. It arrived in the Ferrari box from Italy. I attached the new tach with the battery off and connection by connection. I turned the battery back on turned the key on to let the ecu reboot for about 20 seconds then started the car. All lights on the tach glowed well but the needle wouldn't move. Any thoughts?

    Thank you

I am going to assume the original speedo worked fine prior to the dealer mucking it up. The issue may be with the new speedo. I coil in the speedo may be fried or non-functional. I know of a couple great places that can assist in diagnosing the issue. Speedometer plus' speedo guy is a dictionary of guage knowledge. I am sure he can assist with the situation. Hope that helps! john
