What tires are still available for the F40 17" rims?

Does Pirelli still make the Pzero in the right sizes?

    cheers

I'm told that front size in original pzero assimetrico is no longer in production. rears are next to impossible to find, but are out there. I just found another set of rears (335/35/zr17) from a fellow in Miami....last pair according to my tire shop. Tire rack lists the rears as back ordered. I imagine original Goodyear GSA's are even harder to source.

    Dear Comrade RufMd,

There seems to be no difficulty whatsover in acquiring Michelin Pilot 335/35/ZR/17 tyres - they are available 'off the shelf.'

    With kind regards,

True, an alternative type from original, that is in the same size. Original tires for the F40 include the Goodyear GSA, Pirelli Pzero Assimetrico, Bridgestone RE-71 and Michelin MXX.

The last pirellis I found were priced $600 each (rears)...when my local shop found these rear tires out of curiosity, I ended up getting another brand new set of rears for $500 each. They'll be wrapped in plastic and saved for originality down the road. The front size in 245-40-zr17.

They are indeed not easy to locate, but they do appear in the secondary market from time-to-time. One just has to be patient. As to the "last pair", I think your shop doesnt realize that there still are a few sets out there.

BTW, $500 is an excellent price! I suspect that number will go up as scarcity increases.

You misunderstood, it was the last pair the source had.
