    Eirc, welcome!

First of all you should understand that true LM rims will not fit on the front of a road car, the offset is wrong and they will rub the outside of the fender, I know, I had a set and sold them. If you have a street F40, you will need the correct offset...

You may have trouble finding them, Speedline made them and I am not sure about availability, I thought I heard they were out of production, but not sure.

I use Kinesis rims on my F40 with EXCELLENT results, they have the correct offset, but they do not look like LM rims....

OZ rims are simliar to Speedlines, but those to are supposed to be out of production, but I noticed a post on here recently that an owner from UK just bought a set....

You should also consider going to 18's in case you ever do a brake upgrade, nothing fits with 17's....

    Good luck.

    Chris

I have a set of 5 spoke 18" OZ Racing rims especially made for the f40. They are complete with Pirelli 245/35 and 335/30 tyres. I live in South Africa. The price for rims and tyres would be Euro 6000 fob Johannesburg. If you are interested send me your email and I will take some photographs and send them to you

HRE have made 2 sets of rims for F40, one for my LM and one for my friend in Canada. Check with them, they are great.Like Chris said, the offset is VERY critical if you have a stock F40...

SAC wheels has the forged magnesium wheels that will fit correctly and look great. 18X10.5 F, 18X13 R. About 6K$ per set but the best wheels available. The BBS wheels are really cool as well. Roland can post the contact number.

I had them made here and they are a dream when loading and starping the car in the trailer. I have the perfect angle from the center of the whell to the loor hook. I have no access to any suspension part for a strap, so this works perfectly.
Bob Woodman 's number is :843-571-2277 for the BBS in 17"

The pic was at Scuderia Rampante (Dave Helms) in Boulder. Main service before I left for So.Cal for the TV commercial. The beauty is Dave's daughter Niki and she did a hell of a job on the LM. Now, we are talking of a perfect girl friend for any F.owner... She is better looking than Dave !!!

What is the cost for the tiedowns? I have full CNC machine capability but it is easier to buy them if you have done the R&D. What is the material of construction? Do you have a detailed drawing that I could purchase? Those tiedowns are SWEET!

Sorry that it took so long to get back to you, PC trouble slowed me down !!!
I had them made here at a local machine shop. When tied by hand, you can drive around (slow) to move the car etc...You can put some good tention on them while strapping the car and makes your life easier by not having to crowl under the nose etc..I found his invoice for $ 485.00 from 3 years ago.
I'll call him and see if he still has the measurements etc..
They were stressproof/heat treated.Remember that they are with opposite thread. I had a first set made in alu.but they didn't last, since weight isn't important, I went for steel.
Tim Genf=dreau in AZ got a set and has no trouble at all and loves them.
