Who out there knows if a 308, 328 or 288GTO windshield is the same as an F40's windshield dimensions? Seems all those cars were built around the same time (1980-1990) and all of them seem to have the same "GTB style" tops. So I'm guessing that all those windshields are the same size and could be interchangeable? Same slant/angle too? Or is the F40's windshield totally different animal?
    Joe?

Are the windshields of the 308, 328, and 288 GTO interchangeable?

I would venture to say that the F40 windshield is completely different from the above three.

IMO are the same! roof is the same but F40 have some anti fog particles in it.

My windshield is original and if you look closely there are hundreds (if not a thousand) of what look like tiny wires running vertically. Not that has anything to do with dimensions. I've not seen that on other cars but perhaps the other cars I've seen did not have original windshields.

My 40 has the window defrost wires. I am pretty sure it is the same dimensionally as 308, 328 and 288 GTO

Just found a new windshield on Ebay that says it fits 308 328 288 & F40.

They will fit, but the F40 has the wires inside. The GTO has the Arial inside the glass.

What is the cost differential between a proper (with wires) F40 wind shield and a 'standard' 308 / 328 shield?

Don't know the cost difference but the windshield with wires for mine (about 7 years ago) was in the $3,500 range. I wish that one was in storage and I had a less expensive one without wires for routine use.

Contact Russ at FerrParts. He bought one of the last crates of NOS parts for the F40 from FNA. He may have windscreens.
