would you buy it? seems in good shape, and the price reflects the mileage....
Hi Ross, I just stumbled across your post - and I thought to myself---------(quoting myself "I'll bet that bloody F40 passes many broken down, low mileage garage queens, every time she exercises her connecting rods". Right??? Higher mileage and proper maintenance are two very different things. But if they are married, I want them in my family Cheers, Hank
well i imagine it has done so in the past....right now its looking for a new owner, and i have the itch... after all, it would fit in my garage...
Well , winter is around the corner, you wouldnt let a poor F40 without a roof in the cold euro winter would you ? The great thing with this F40 is that you can rack on miles and miles without worrying about it becoming a high mileage car. If the price is right , go for it ! London to Geneva will never be as thrilling
You got the itch------------- Your garage has the niche------------ Watcha waiting fo dude?------------ Just go buy da b!tch---------- First thing that came to my mind Cheers, Hank
The mileage wouldn't scare me. Just make sure you check the service records. If the motor hasn't been rebuilt yet, you'll have to do it. Been there, done that. Just get it priced right. Hell, if you don't want, I'll buy it and turn it into a track dog. Steve
I have 23,000 miles on mine. It runs like a dream, and I love it. It is not a garage queen, it has been modified with larger intercoolers, better brakes, larger wheels, and an intercooler water cooling system; as well as better shocks. I know it is not a "collector" car ( I have most of the parts needed to return it to stock) but i wont return it to stock unless I was going to sell it. It looks as good as the sub 10,000 mile cars, it probably runs better or equally as good as those properly maintained ones, and I love it. Go for it. Check it out and buy it and enjoy it. You only live once.
