I am interested in stepping up from my 1977 Dino Blu carbed 308 GTB to a blue F430 coupe. Only interested in an 05/06 TDF coupe with steel, non ceramic brakes. Looking for a one owner, possibly two, owner car with impeccable service records. All mileage cars considered.
Private party purchase preferred. Leads would be much appreciated. Thanks.

In the past year I believe that there were two TDF 430 coupes sold in a 6MT. One was at Ferrari of Silicon Valley and the other at CNC Motors. You may want to start there. I am not sure of the years. Good luck with the search.

Do you prefer steels for performance or cost reasons? As I have found recently the myth of hyper expensive CCM is not necessarily true but Ferrari dealers perpetuate it to maintain their profits. There is a significant advantage in performance terms to CCM

Imcmahon: The gentleman that purchased the CNC Motors car was nice enought to contact me with some useful information, which was much appreciated. Thanks for your info.

cgt: My reasoning for steels is based on a cost/maintenance issue. Thank you for your input. I doubt I will be standing on my brake pedal very often. I will do some further investigating.

Hi Kevin, look up a company called Sicom, they offer very reasonably priced CCM discs. They look better from a cosmetic point of view and do offer great stopping power at any speed. In theory a set of CCM will also last you much longer on a car that sees pure road use.

In my initial post for F430 wanted, I used the term stepping up from our 308 GTB. I do not want this to be taken as some sort of partial trade. The 308 will stay with us and hopefully eventually have a TDF f430 for a big brother.

If OP is firm on TDF and passes on your lead, would you mind sharing? I'm in the market as well and Red is one of my top choices. Feel free to pm me.

    OP- don't mean to poach!

Just FYI, TDF is not a top choice for me.
    Thanks!

Jake, The Red 430 was sold . I will keep my eyes open. Any leads on Blu or Yellow coupes with 6 speeds would be appreciated also. Blu yellow is the extent of my intrest. Looks like we would not be stepping on each others toes.

Good Luck "They are out there"

Actually, Ferrari of Silicon Valley has had two blue 6MT coupes (!) over the last few years. Or maybe, the same one twice. I drove one, and it was lovely. I ended up with a 6MT titanio spider--- blue is still my favorite, but is a color seen far more often on F2+2s. Contact Jason Z. at FofSV--- he may know where the last car resides, and if the owner is ready to trade.

Thank you Bruce . I will follow up. I have since considered other color options. Any info on gated 430 coupes would be most appreciated.

Kevin - Ferrari of Beverly Hills sold a Grigio Silverstone over beige 6MT within the last year. Give James (sales manager) a ring. Enjoy the hunt.
