a very easy diy too if you wanted to just remove stereo and not change the speakers. you can add backup caemra, carplay etc. more technology than a 2018 ferrari for under $1100! I bought one before Xmas. Haven’t installed it yet. More correctly, OP. It is a single din receiver with a 9”screen.
I installed one of those last summer. Makes the window switch even harder to hit due to the screen size! It is indeed a single din and mounted very stiff on the dash, I forgot the cost, something around $800 for the unit.
no problem. buying my first f430 this weekend, and will be the first mod. now just need to figure out wiring. i understand its just basic european wiring...will ask for help. but add carplay and tec for $800 seems like a no brainier. yes window switch will be hard...but might be worth the hassle. can anyone please share their experience with pics or videos of the unit?
One of the things about the F430 that appeals to me is the blatant lack of technology related to anything that doesn't make it go fast
I don’t think so. I agree, 7” would be more appropriate. Another interesting unit I considered was the pioneer sph-10bt...basically your phone snaps onto it and becomes the screen.
That's what I have in my 360 - Pioneer SPH-10BT. Under £100 in the UK and uses your smartphone as it's screen. I also bought the Pioneer reverse sensors that connect to it but haven't fitted those yet. Apart from the ariel adaptor, it was completely plug and play Sent from my BBF100-1 using FerrariChat.com mobile app
I looked at both of those options but didn't like the idea of blocking the vents or the window switches. I had used a couple of early versions of JVC's single DIN touchscreens and has been waiting and watching for one of these AVX77 models to come up. I think it fits in quite nicely and the customisable wallpaper makes it easy to make it look OEM. I'll add a reverse camera shortly.
I know everyone knocks the clarion unit but it doesn't block the window switches and it folds away. I never really open it to be honest. It connects to my phone and starts playing my music when I turn it on. It only opens when I'm in reverse and then goes back in. I have no reason to drive around with it out unless I need the nav. But that is on very rare occasions.
There’s one on eBay now. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F223340716046 Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
I put a Porsche Classic Radio in my 430 a year ago. Besides watching heads explode at the very thought of doing such a thing, I love the the simplicity of the design. It wasn't cheap, however.
I just took ownership of my 360 and had to get rid of the horrible silver Kenwood Tapedeck. Replaced it with this! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Sohail, I literally just saw one of those while cruising Amazon. What is your feedback with the new unit so far? I’m trying to get past the lack of name branding.
Brian: I have a generic brand in my car and it is integrated with a back up camera, navigation, and real time car analysis via a bluetooth OBD reader. It works great for me and I can do useless things like mirror my phone to the screen. Also, mine is bigger at 10.1". Of course I live in Texas so it has to be bigger lol!
Here's a better pic of the size ratio to the whole dash. It is big but not obstructive Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hi Brian, As Rjoselaw said it is a fully featured unit. I have the version where you can add Data Sim card into it as well as an OBD Bluetooth reader, Tyre Pressure monitoring system, Reverse Camera and also a front recording dash camera. It comes with iGo maps included but you can download others as it is Android. Also has usb ports and an micro sd card slot so you have a few options for getting music on there. I went for the 8" unit. Sound is decent but I have a Nouvolari exhaust for the main event.

J3 JME, do you mind providing the model number of your unit? I’ve had some issues with the pioneer I purchased so I may end up replacing it with this. Especially if it offers Apple CarPlay. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
I noticed that the 360 has to extend out a little due to the way the fascia is. The area around the head unit in the F430 is flat which is perfect. Makes sense now. Thank you for the picture
