F430 Air Con Control Unit

The controls in my F430 have recently stopped re-directing the air flow from screen to vents and so on. No matter which position the switch is in, it just sends air t the vents. The tech dismantled the motors but said they were fine, tried the SD2 and has said it is the A/C control unit that has failed. It's part number 204068. Has anyone got any experience of having this unit repaired or know if there is an alternative part or where to source a second hand one or a repair. I am currently working in the US so could send to UK or US.
