hey guys, usually i turn the main battery switch off in my f430 becuase i only drive the car once or twice a week. However when its time to drive, as soon as i turn the battery switch On, the alarm starts to beep. At the dealer the guy turned the battery switch on and there was no alarm. Am i doing something wrong here??? The guy at the dealer told me that i should "lock the car" and then close the battery switch. people who experienced this issue please let me know how to work around this issue. becuase i really dono what to do Many thanks
Im no expert in this, but Ive been told not to switch off the car, rather use a trickle charger instead. I guess when you turn the off the battery the ECU needs to relearn everything each time you restart the car.
i had the same problem after my battery died in my 360 after i didn't drive it for over a month. i borrowed a trickle charger to charge up the battery, but had problems with the alarm. i was told by a mechanic that the alarm operates on a separate battery that also charges up as the car is driven, so if that battery runs a bit low, then the alarm may go off. after i drove the car more for the next couple days, i guess the alarm battery charged up to normal levels and went back to functioning normally again.
