Well, we're in Nantucket for a while this summer. This afternoon at around 5 my mom called me and said there was a yellow Gallardo (male driver) and red F430 (female driver) heading down main street. Anybody know anything about this? It's pretty unusual to have something like those here-- the closest is an Azure. Interesting nonetheless.

That would be me and my wife out here for the Dana Farber charity event. The Otto Club has made a donation to the event and we agreed to bring 2 cars out to the island. I think both will need new front suspensions after the ride through main street. But, it's for a great cause.

That's really great of you guys to venture over here. I'd love to see them... btw, you should check out Old Farm road (I think it's called) off of Milestone-- it's a straight away to die for, as far as straight roads go. You have now given us hope-- next time we'll drive our turbo cab. over. If you don't mind me asking, what part of the island are you staying on?

I'm out here on the island for the summer as well. One of the guys I'm living with saw those two cars downtown today as well. I give you huge credit for even considering bringing those cars out here to the island. I've seen a red Viper a few times and it still amazes me every time I see it that someone out here would be driving something like that.

The fundraiser was over at a private home in Sconset (about 500 people, raised about $500k). We're bringing the cars back this morning and they'll be parked over at the Harbor House Inn near downtown. We've finally figured out how to get around and avoid the cobblestone. Thank god! They're filthy, but they still look great.

Yes, congrats on your fundraiser! We actually decided to come home yesterday-- so I missed you two THREE times. When you came, mom saw you. When you were driving down Milestone rd, my mom saw you. When you parked in 'Sconset, my mom saw you. I missed you every single time. Again, great seeing someone give back-- congrats!

I'm sure you've seen the black SLK55 that is everywhere this year. Also saw a few SL's. There was an Azure last year as well. Nantucket is really changing from the quaint little island it used to be to the noveux riche mega vacation spot (minus the slowing real estate market).

Yes I've seen the Azure a few times, some kid was driving it. That SLK is nice too. There are quite a few Porsches, but nothing too special. I've seen a blue Smart driving around as well. That's something I'd like to see more of. People need to be more open minded about cars like that. There are way too many massive Escallades and other rediculous cars that, quite simply, do not belong on this island. The roads are too narrow, parking is hard to find, and the gass is so expensive. If I had it my way, everyone out here would drive Jeep Wranglers and Smarts. That's just my opinion, of course....
