I'm trying to figure out a battery drain issue, so I've tapped all the fused circuits in all the fuse boxes, and it appears that fuse "Maxi 4" is drawing around 240-400 milliamps when the car is off. Of course, this goes away when the disconnect switch is turned. Also getting a 75 milliamps from "Maxi 3" which is titled A/C.

In the manual, this fuse is titled "front guard". Anyone know what this is, and if you feel this might be an issue, or am I barking up the wrong tree here?

Maxi fuse 4 (next to the battery) feeds fuses:

    AF1 High beams
    AF2 Low beams
AF5 Number plate lights, cockpit switch lights
    AF6 Tail lights
    AF9 Instrument panel, Bluetooth control
    AF10 Horns
    AF13 Headlight washers
    AF14 Front lid actuator
AF17 "blinking" internal lights, emergency and directional blinkers
AF18 Position lights front LH and rear RH.

You need to narrow down the fuse drawing the current.

Maxi fuse 3 feeds the HVAC ECU and the fan motor. The fuses are hidden on the RH side of the evaporator (forward centre console)

Not sure why these should be drawing power.

Either pull the fuses one by one to see if your current drain disappears... or measure the small voltage drops across each fuse carrying current (with the fuses in-situ).

Note that AF17 powers the Hazard/Turn Module and the Interior Lights Timer. The latter is hooked up to a number of different items, including the Alarm system, luggage compartment light, instrument panel, ceiling lights, etc. Note that the ceiling lights have a separate fuse, but I guess the timer needs power to control the time delay.

I don't know yet if we are barking up the wrong tree. Further tests should show this.

I always assumed battery drain is due to the tracker, do you have one fitted?

Do your window switches remain permanently illuminated after the car is locked? I'd start there before going further.

I currently have that issue on my car. I'm going to remove the door cards to see what's going on with the micro switches.

Note that the current draw for LEDs (in the window switches) is only going to be 10~30mA per switch, not 240-400 milliamps.

Thanks all for your input. I've tested a bunch of items, I have a small drain, but might be just the immobilizer. I've got a bigger problem... starting another thread...

Almost half an amp is not a small drain ... but priorities.

Yep, I hear you. I jumped the gun on the 400ma draw. It had something to do with shutdown process. It's gone, and it's fine. I'm just left with a small 10ma draw from the immobilizer... But keeping an eye on things...

The LEDs are a sympton: the problem is the window module being permanently awake.
