hi, hoping someone can help. I turned off the 'kill' switch in my 430 to preserve the battery life, but then someone (my wife) closed the boot and now I can't open it again (boot release seems to be electric). I've been through the owners manual trying to find a mechanical release for the boot lid but can't find anything, can anyone help me?

It seems like a design flaw that the dead switch would be in a compartment that requires power to open it.

To be clear, I've tried jumping the battery in case it was just flat but it is showing up as charged on my meter.

    I'd really appreciate the help.

430- I recommend keeping an extra copy of the owners' manual in the house or on your hard drive so you can look up things like this without having to get into the car. If you register with Ferrari North America, their owners' site has an archive with a 430 manual you can download for free.

Ok. So I had the same issue last night. Unfortunately, none of the answers helped me. So I called a friend and he guided me. Under the glove compartment on the left side, there is wire that can be pulled...Voila! the boot clicks open.

Seems like it is under the left side no matter which car you have, LHD/RHD, yes?
