Image Unavailable, Please Login 2005 - F430 Berlinetta F1 - $109,950 Argento Nurburgring/Bordeaux For those of you familiar with my old sale thread, this is the same car. However, after removal of the PPF and racing stripes this week, the old one was closed to reduce confusion. The newest exterior pics are on this post. Some links will have video of the car, or pics, prior to removal of the PPF/Stripe that was done this week. It's the same car. Description: This classic Ferrari color combo is something to see in person. Admittedly I set off looking for the standard Rosso Corsa, but have no regrets having deviated from the path of the typical first time Ferrari owner. In fact, it has become one of my favorite color combos. This F430 is an absolute blast to drive; it bridges Ferrari's transition from analog to modern sports car. Even more so after doing Trev's ECU flash which increased power (without sacrificing reliability) and improved shifting (both for daily driving and aggressive driving). The sound is intoxicating, enhanced by the Fabspeed headers that replaced the original OEM manifolds. It's a car that makes you take the long way home. I can't emphasize how much the next owner will enjoy the driving experience. Basics: VIN: ZFFEW58A850141776 Year: 2005 Color - Exterior: Argento Nurburgring, Interior: Bordeaux Miles - 28.5k and will continue to add a few each weekend since I drive it weekly to keep things lubricated. Transmission/clutch - F1, clutch was somewhere between 50-60% remaining about two months ago State Inspection - Passed in Texas, including emissions test in April. Aftermarket Parts - Fabspeed headers with blankets, Trev's software flash (stage 2), Pioneer head unit (original included). Tracked? - Personally, once during my tenure at an FCA event at COTA. No other times that I know of. Car is on a battery tender when parked. I've documented the history since 2019 when I purchased it located here: https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/2005-f430-zffew58a850141776-diary-log.608387/ Items replaced/Addressed (please see link above for comprehensive list) Headers replaced with Fabspeed and blankets in 2019 F1 Pump replaced with second gen F430 pump by Josh Hill in Spicewood Accumulator replaced last year. Battery Replaced Tires about two to three years old, Michelin's. All O2 sensors last year Intake gaskets replaced last year. Two taillights with broken tabs replaced with Scud ING Swiss version Headlight bulb replaced, I'm leaving an extra bulb in the glove box Replaced radiator cap CV Joints Fuses PDF4 & PDF24 Spark Plugs Last oil change was April 2022 Both window switches replaced with OEM this year Coolant thermostat replaced this year Accessory belt replaced this year Headlights were stripped and recoated, like new now. Defects Windows sightly miss-aligned, I had them adjusted once when first purchased, but they have slowly reverted back Some wear on driver side lumbar support Sideview mirrors have some rock chips exposing black color underneath. The car came with a K1 radar system, but the back sensor was stolen on my drive back after purchasing my car. The front's still work. Some scratches under bumper, road rash on front black painted bumper inlets, minor imperfections typical of a car this age. Note: Please do your due diligence. I've done my best to address known issues as they've appeared during my ownership, but as with anything I strongly encourage you to have the car checked prior to purchase; it is an 18 year old car afterall. The car is sold As-Is. I'm motivated, but not in a rush to sell, and although this is not a low mileage garage queen, its last four years are well documented and many issues sorted for the next owner. Keep in mind, there won't be a lot of wiggle room on price regardless of PPI outcome, so make your best offer prior to spending the money to get one. I'm located in Austin, TX. The fly-by video was taken in 2020 at the COTA FCA event I mentioned. Interior and Exterior videos on the Youtube playlist link below are from January. I will update the exterior video soon now that car has PPF/Stripe removed and has been polished. https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLvM7m9coxdMgbaPOtnPyLPkSKTRYNGI1M Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
@VAF84 - (long time lurker so can’t DM yet!). I’m local to you in Austin - any good/day time combos to come and take a look this? Maybe this weekend? Thx. Sdemw.
I've added a new walk around video taken today. Have to say, removal of the stripe and old ppl was a big improvement, I think these new pics represent that well. Also, just a heads up, I've decided to go ahead and push for a sale, so I'll be expanding advertisement to Autotrader, and maybe Ebay. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/iM4vpjwiKWM Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
An update for those on the fence. I'm collecting dealer bids, and looking at some trade-in options. Now's a good time to work a deal if interested. Again, I'd hate for this car to get run through the dealers and lose its history. Not to mentioned you'll probably pay more on the retail side. Reason for increased pace to sell is that I'm now 100% ready to move on, so I'm no longer driving the car for fear of getting dings or a fender bender in the middle of a sale. That actually happened to me fairly recently; right before heading to the dealer to trade-in the truck. Not an experience I want to go through again.
Yes, everything works on the car. I’ll PM you on here for any general questions; if you’re a serious buyer and want to coordinate PPI, see the car in person etc, I’m happy to exchange numbers. Edit: PM sent
wow, nice....an Azure blue 360 just sold on BAT with 18K miles for 95K plus the juice....and it needed a major.......and i personally think coupes are sexier....great deal for someone looking and killer color combo for sure....
Thanks! I may be a bit biased, but I agree . Thank you! Back when I was looking for 360’s I decided to spend a bit more for the lower maintenance F430. Never regretted that decision. Maybe the new pricing will encourage some potential 360 buyers to consider bumping up.
Seems like 430's are the forgotten model at the moment, aside from a gated? I've been keeping a close watch on the market, and 430/360 retails aren't that far off. 360's look to actually be climbing at this point in time. This car is beautiful, good luck with the sale!
Any chance you have the old headers? I’m in California, and it won’t pass visual inspection without stock exhaust (catback is allowed). Thanks
My F430 is now SOLD (traded). Future buyers of this car can look up the VIN in the search bar of this forum for all the of the history over the last 4.5 years. In the near future I will be updating the log with a spreadsheet of parts, repairs, and associated costs.
The folks at the Cali smog stations would not know a Fab Speed from OEM, are you ****ing kidding me ? It will not make a difference. The guy who smogs my 328 sticks the poker in the exhaust, gets in the car on the Dyno, and thats it , which is all legal by the way. PM me and I can give you the details. Visual inspection get the **** out of here ... I can put all Fab speed headers, cats, and whatever the **** else, as long as it passes, it passes. Good grief Big G
Congratulations on the sale! I had been watching this car since you had it advertised for that crazy insane low price a while back. I almost thought about buying it, but lack of room stopped me from reaching out. What did you end up trading it for?
Thanks! Sounds like you've been around since the beginning. I can't believe no one bought it back then, or the fact that I was still getting low balls to that low price. I traded it in for a fully loaded C8 Z51 hard top convertible. I'm going to miss my F430, but it was time for something different. This one I'll be able to get more use out of, until the kids get a little older and I get some time back for A to A drives and FCA events.
Congratulations. That was a gorgeous car and more importantly, you'd been an excellent caretaker. Enjoy your new car and new experience!
Congrats. Saw and drove this exact car before I really knew I wanted an F430 and only thing that held me back was it wasn’t my first choice of color. The owner is all class and took care of the car. IMO many here missed out on a great opportunity
