Hey All, Does anyone have suggestions on a big brake kit for an F430? I’ve heard about using Z06 calipers and rotors but haven’t found specifics. OEM carbon ceramic calipers are hard to come by. Any kits I’ve found lose ebrake which is no-bueno for a street car of course. Buying girodisc rotors and pads at non-ceramic sizes is about $4k from FabSpeed so for a few grand more I figure I can get way larger rotors (mainly for looks). Thanks! I just purchased the Brembo GT kits front and rear (which does retain the rear ebrake), currently waiting on Brembo to piece them together (made to order kits) and ship them out. ETA - I had the same dilemma, I really wanted CCM calipers + girodisc for the ultimate flex, but that combo was more expensive than just getting the Brembo set. The good news is that avoiding the CCM calipers is hopefully one less problem down the road with the pistons sticking in them.
Thats what I did I bought oem calipers and rebuilt them with hills pistons. Then bought girodiscs. Glad I did now
Here are the part numbers for what I ordered in case anyone is looking for them: 2M3.9002A5 1M3.9008A5
If you goto a ferrari dealer with seized caliper pistons, they will fit new calipers- might be worth asking if any used ones available and then fit the hill engineering pistons
Here is the distributor list for F430 Brembo brakes. I think 380mm is base model rotor size front, and 355mm rear. Correct me if I’m wrong. Therefore, I’d rather just do new rotors and pads if the size is remaining because I’ll never hit max capabilities of stock brakes on the street, especially with Motul 660. I’d only upgrade to CCM sizes for looks, assuming price is <$10k. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Steel 4 piston calipers are 330mm front and rear. CCM 6 piston are 380mm front, 355mm rear. Stock steels are fine if you upgrade pads and fluid.
If these are larger steel options, I wonder if the original ebrake caliper transfers over, if they got a bracket extension for it or not. To upgrade the size of rotors (for looks) and street use, what kit do any of you think is be Image Unavailable, Please Login st? The first pics were blurry so here is better ones. Had anyone looked into the K-sport kits out of the UK? The have 380, 400, 421, and 444mm kits for the 430. I emailed them to see if they had templates available, they just said they were busy or something lol That's a big rotor https://www.ebay.com/itm/354620139462?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=iWK1gCxGSsS&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=M4CZ-HRCR52&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
