    You need ECU re-flashed
    Trev360 flash is awesome!

I did not have this issue with the Fabspeed ones on my 06, possibly because it’s older. Are you getting a CEL or you just feel it’s sluggish? Seems simple, but did you disconnect the battery for at least 10min? Some have disconnected overnight, it makes a difference. If that does not help I’d buy the 02 spaces as it worked for most with cel but not sure for about it feeling sluggish. Let us know

I did let it sit overnight then turn it back on. I still am getting the same codes and the same sluggishness. I did order the mini cats to see what that does. If those don't do the trick, then I will be getting ECU's programmed. I will report back.

Seems odd. After challenge headers install mine ran better straight away. Then CEL was fixed with O2 extenders.

Interesting chat. I own a 2008 F430 (Aussie spec) and was just told my manifolds are developing small cracks after 28K klms. The Challenge header option seems logical as the rest of the system is stock but a local shop has a set of Kline Inconel headers ready to go. My only concern is they don’t have heat shields. Anyone tried these with a stock exhaust or should I stick with the challenge headers? My other option is Tubi but again, not 100% sure.

The bonus of the challenge headers is they look completely stock and come with the factory heat shields. Tubi are very nice and shielded and very expensive. The rear lower rigid exhaust support brackets are the real issue. Many have simply removed them to solve the problem.

I believe the Capristo test pipes (for those considering a decat) also contain a braided flex section to allow for expansion, contraction and vibration as added insurance.

Anyone in CA have the challenge headers installed and passed smog? What would be the workaround?

Do you by any chance recall which O2 extenders you used? I bought some from eurotuning and they are not keeping the light from coming on.

Hello! Do you know which spacers that you used? I bought some from eurotuning but they did not fix the CEL.

    Guys
Do the tune from Trev and forget about it.
Stop messing with minicats extenders and s_//t.
    You can thank me later.

They were a no brand 45deg extender from a Jap tuner parts shop. $40 from memory. No CEL 7yrs now. My car is Euro spec which may make a difference. As said the tune from Trev is the holy grail. I may still do it for the many other benefits.

These are the headers on my challenge GT3 car..Countless guys have tried to say it isn't a GT3 car...because it doesnt' have a kessel tag on it, but it's a challenge GT3 car... This thing is straight piped right out the back and it is by far the loudest race car I have ever heard. Everyone that hears this thing are floored at how loud it is.. Lambo's, porsche's, all the race variants of them don't come close to how freaking loud this car is. It's pure insanity. I am looking for a way to add a challenge muffler, or cat delete pipes and a muffler.. The pipes on it are direct from the headers back, so there isn't way to tie into them the way they currently are..

@MEGACHAD if you are looking for a way to reduce/mellow the sound reach out to Fabio @ Fiammenghi Exhausts. He ended up making Daniel and myself a set of resonated mid-pipe silencers for our 599's because without them and with the valves open, the system was >120db! Look at posts 579-582 here:

    https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/posts/149394392/

My guess is he could create something similar for your custom setup.

4-1 and straight pipe is a proper GT3. Maximum power. Although Kessel became an authority they didn't build all of them!

Nothing sounds better. My friends and I used to watch the races at Silverstone and other UK tracks with a beer in hand. Good times.

The manifolds are great - the best for power - but are you working to a dB limit?

Relatively easy to silence with a muffler per bank and a merge to a rear main muffler.

My super trofeo stradale gallardo was straight piped and it would hit 132db... serious. loudest car I have ever heard, until this one.. this car is way louder than 132db.. it is insanity.

This car has a title I am waiting on. I can license it. The cage is a bolt in like all challenge cars. So the front part of the cage could be taken out and just leave the roll bar/ harness bar in the back.. If I did that it would probably be the most civilized factory race car you could ever drive on the street.

Ultimately I will list the car for sale again, but I was having a hard time getting anyone to realize this is a GT3 car. Not just a challenge car. I believe it is an un homologated GT3 car. So built to full GT3 spec, just never raced as a GT3 car. The headers were something someone mentioned at one time that if they were 4-1 then it would be GT3...... So here we are.

GT3 car is worth quite a lot more than a challenge car.

    Good morning,

I'm going to change OEM and replaced them with Challenge Headers on my F430. Do you think the catalysts will break down sooner by removing the precat? or is this an absurd idea
