    I just noticed my 05 F430 , the check engine light was on when I started it up, it goes of once I shift the F1 into gear, any thoughts?

    probably normal...it just hadn't finished checking everything. try it without going into gear next time and just wait a long time...should still go off.

    same deal..but goes off after awhile.. I also have a 2005 f430..

    Mine goes off without engaging, but it takes almost a minute, which is a LLLLLOOOOONNNNNGGGGG time when your anxious to go for a drive :).
