I'm probably the least litigious person around but...

If that was me under that light pole, I wouldn't stop until I owned Disney. I'm blown away that a production from them would let that happen to an innocent pedestrian. To not secure a film set for a chase scene on a wet road in the middle of NYC is a phenomenal level of irresponsibility. It makes me furious just looking at the video.

It appears the driver had switched off the traction control entirely, including the ABS (is that possible with the manetino?). Those wheels were clearly locked as he slid into the curb.

The most generous setting in terms of leeway on the mannetino is the CST off. I don't think it overrides ABS though

You should stop being furious, the street is/was/will always be closed off for scenes. Its a Nick Cage movie...aka a huge production. They guy under the pole is an extra, who is paid, and hopefully for his sake signed some waivers and has insurance.

Regarding the ABS, the system is not tied into the manetinno. Even in the race or sport settings you can get the lose the car, it is wet, and you cant beat physics.

the girl in white that was knocked down and slightly injured by the car was not an extra and just a pedestrian per the NY Post article. at least read the article first before criticizing the other person's post :)
