Awaiting the arrival of my new f430 spider. I am currious as to what setting the car needs to be in to produce the downshift blip? Coming from my CS I am used to the vicious downshift blip and in my searching some say the 430 does blip and others say it doesn't. I am feeling remorse - help me!

Sport/Race modes will get you more of a "Tubi-type" sound with a little bit more drone in the cabin and you will get some blips from downshifts, IIRC.

Is it a rev match agressive blip or just a "little" blip? The CS in Race mode was really aggressive.

Even in Race mode, the F430 blip is just a little blip.

It does not have an agressive blip that will match the revs.

It's not really that noticable even in race mode..
But you can always help it along a liitle by use of the throttle.

    Thats true!

You can try to rev match by by using the throttle but the car does not do it itself like the Scud and CS.

For sure! I had extra sound effect from my F430 with the Tubi GTC exhaust, great sound!

Thats very weird that all of you call it a little unnoticeable blip, my 05 makes a huge loud blip downshifting in sport and race what gives?

It's loud enough for Harley riders to hear and give a thumbs up!

does the little plug thingy u can take out of the exhaust have an affect on this? it might cause the blip is very loud for me.

My stock 05 blips and matches revs just fine. Of course, take it to the track where the F1 system REALLY shines.

These are some really weird posts. Rev matching is rev matching and with similar gear ratios, the increase in revs (blip) has to be the same. The f430 has a fourth generation F1 system (355, 360, 575M/CS, f430/612) so why would rev matching have deteriorated? Sport mode in my 575M and presumably the f430 makes the blip much shorter duration and much more noticeable.

Should be not a noticeable difference between a CS and an f430 except for exhaust note. If you do not like the sound, an exhaust change is in order.

In my F430, if I'm on the gas when I'm downshifting the rev-match is, naturally, going to be more aggressive and more noticeable.
If I'm coasting to a stop and downshifting, sport or race mode, there's hardly any rev-matching going on... but this makes sense.

On my Gallardo, holy hell... the rev matching is SO aggressive it immediately invokes the exhaust bypass and is incredibly loud. Let's put it this way, I warn first-time passengers about the noise b/c everyone jumps out of their skin. The car is a spider which only adds to the music.

The computers actually have quite a bit to do with this. It takes into account RPMS, and how aggressively you're stabbing the throttle/brakes. The same goes for the rapidity in which the F1 transmission shifts.

At least that's what the tech tells me when I asked a similar question. Seems to hold water in my experience.
