I need advice on 1. how to remove the behind the driver's side access panel to the ECU's; 2. how to find all of this information out myself! I have the shop manual but I find it quite useless most of the time to someone who hasn't worked on cars in quite a while.

    thanks!

Well I can tell you to remove the panels it's only a few 4mm allen head bolts. For the other information I usually search on here or google.

I've found one 4mm allen bolt to remove (center)...directly behind the seat on the "floor" section below the panel I need to remove. Do I need to remove other panels first?

    Man, do I feel stupid.

I believe it was 4 or 5 per side. They are sort of buried in the carpet. No other panels need to be removed. Just move the seat forward so you can get to them. I think it was one at each corner. Are you removing the ecu's?

    Hi Kevin,

Its only 4 bolts on each side. Two bolts on the top, two bolts on the bottom.

Be careful on where each bolt belongs as some of those bolts are extra long and if placed on the wrong location can actually damage some wires inside the ECU compartment.

You can PM or eMail me if you still need help.

    You're welcome!

Turn signal signal ECU replacement is very easy.
It's located right behind the glove compartment.

    Turn on your turn signals.
Now go on the passenger side floor and look up under the dashboard.
You will hear and see the turn signal ECU location.
Now Turn battery master power switch off.
    Disconnect turn signal ECU connector.
Plug in new solid state turn signal ECU.
Use Velcro and attach new turn signal ECU close to original ECU location.

    Dan
