Hi Guys hope someone can help me out.
After driving my F430 for about 30 min I get the Red alert that says E-diff and also the alert of the manetino.
The car switches to slippery mode and the manetino does not work.
If I turn of the car and start it again the problem disappears for a while and then comes back again.
Recently some work was done to the differential and some parts where replaced.

Anyone has an idea on this?

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Michel

What work was performed and why? That is where I would start. You may need diagnostic software to see the parameters and determine what is out of spec.

I had that problem, and it went away on its own. I think I got a tank of bad gas is all. I would just drive it.

Just an update, the Ferrari dealer changed the solenoid, a sensor and a relay.... which where the main error shown on the diagnostics.

Went to test and the problem is still there...

    Any ideas????

E diff diagnosis can be difficult. Knowing the parameters and trying to find the one think the TCU does not like is time consuming.
Having a known good car to compare number from parameters can be helpful.

Jut now there is another F430 at the dealer so they will use that one to compare. I will update when I have more info.

E-diff issues are hard to figure out sometimes. Sounds like the dealer threw the usual suspects at the car and let it go.

I had one the would continually throw a fault for accumulator pressure too low. Put in a pressure switch..same deal..but only when hot. I bled the entire system, including the entire f1 system, actuator off..etc, new fluid all the way through the system..worked like a charm. Had to eat a pressure sensor tho.. just an idea..old fluid can do weird things.

Just to close this issue, the problem was one of the sensors that was not working correctly. We found that the previous owner bypassed the sensor probably because of the error and not knowing how to solve this or not wanting to spend money on the ferrari dealer.

Anyway all is working fine now and the F430 is back on the streets!!!!

Thanks to all for your comments...

Sorry for the late replay. The control valve was the one giving problems.
