I recently bought a 2005 f430 with 6500 miles. When you start cold it has a bad misfire for approx. 20 seconds and then starts to run smooth. Starting the car the rest of the day is fine. What's up? Also, until the car is warm, first and second gear are very hard to shift into (manuel 6 speed), 3,4,5,6, th gear are easy to get into, is this normal?

Definitely abnormal. I have an 07 manual transmission car (5000 miles) and don't have either of these issues.

Shifter bushing may be bad. Apparently a cheap piece of plastic that was problematic on the 360 but wasn't updated for the 430 either. ONe of our sponsors here has a replacement part that is an upgrade from the factory piece. Can't remember which one.

Good luck. Let us know what happens.
