I have a long steep driveway, and this evening when I was pulling in, I was in first gear and took my foot off the break and off the gas to just roll slowly. I got a chatter that somewhat worried me, any thoughts? I never had the issue in my 360 F1, not sure if its common in the 430's. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi did anyone help you out with your question? I'm looking to get into an F430 f1 but I too have a long steep driveway at home and was wondering how the transmission would hold up with my driveway

Mine rarely does the same thing when in manual (where I leave it...never drive in auto). Seems to occur only when the car is coasting a lot very slow, 1-3 mph, downhill only in traffic. Does not seem to be a problem.

Has anyone ever experienced this? I am getting something similar. Only occurs if coasting and turning. Note: 360 manual, gear oil has been recently changed (RL NS with 15% non-NS).

My F430 used to do it once in a while. So I will just pop the gear to Neutral as an instant fix.

It went away / greatly reduced chatter when I upgraded my ECU software to Mase Engineering.
Now when I slow down with auto downshifts to first gear very rarely I get the chatter.

Mase ECU software upgrade: A very worthy ECU software upgrade. I have a post here somewhere about my experience / my review of Mase Engineering Software.

I first noticed it on the track when lifting entering some down hill turns. Not really an option to pop in Neutral in that venue. But I understand what you are saying, as it only occurs when the drive train is unloaded.

Would like to get the ECU tune to even out the throttle application curve. Your posts have been informative on that subject (or any other subject). Someday ....

could it be your motor mounts? I got it on low rpm acceleration though so maybe its the opposite. New mounts fixed it. basically I think the rubber bumpers were rattling on the mount.[IMG]
