Took the car out last night after it has been sitting in the garage for almost a week. After driving for about a mile and had to stop for a traffic light. I was the first car at the light and there was a slight incline. As soon as the light turned green, right foot off brake and stepped on the accelerator gently and...it STALLED. I was like what the hell. There were a few cars behind me, and they must be thinking "who is this idiot in the Ferrari." Turned the key off, on and hit the starter and luckily, she re-fired right up. After another few miles of driving, I turned the switch to sport, rain modes and tried to duplicate the problem on a similar inclined slop and then on a steeper slope. The car rolled off smoothly with no hesitations. I had the car in rain (auto) mode when it stalled at the light. Anyone had similar problems? Searched and most known problems were years ago with no updates.

I've heard things like this on the F1 models, or sometimes the car starting like in four cylinders. There was a thread about something similar to your issue just a few days ago. And if I'm not mistaken someone posted something similar on a Lamborghini forum and it was related to e-gear Gallardos. I want to see what respond you get. I have a manual with over 18K miles and my car has never started funny or stalled.

I had an 05' 430 and similar thing happened to me. It has nothing to do with snow, rain, sport, or race mode. I thing you should bring it to your dealer's attention. Most likely the PIS has to be adjusted which it's not a big deal. However, it can also be the bearing and I hope not in your case because it's a big and expensive job. Good luck and let us know.

My 430 has done this once in the year and a bit i've owned it and 13000 miles driven. They're 'quirky' :) I wouldn't worry about it. And don't drive in the low grip modes they're heavier on the clutch. Sport or race only, just be careful if it's wet.

I think there was a post here that said if you did not hold the start button long enough it could mess with the ecu and cause running on four cylinders, limp, or other funky quirks that could cause a stall. If it doesn't happen again, then I would not worry or spend money looking into it.

Thanks everyone for all of your inputs. Called the dealer and they said it does happen to the F1. If it is doing this more often, then call them back.

Thanks John. Cross my fingers that it goes away. I'll keep it in sport mode from now on.

Yes, F1 definitely got quirks. I wouldn't worry unless you experience other symptoms. Mine would clutch/declutch a couple of times getting going on a decline. Otherwise fine. PIS is spot on.

F1 quirks would drive me nuts.

    Glad it was nothing.
