I just noticed that on my new to me 2006 F430 the front bumper sits below the front hood (bonnet?) by 1/4" or perhaps a little more. Is this normal?

    Thanks.

Mine is a little less than that. I just had the bumper off to upgrade the horns. I was able to close the gap a little on re-install. Is your gap consistent all the way around to the fenders?

There are 8 nuts attached to studs in the bumper. Four of them are behind the rubber caps in the forward section of the boot (the lowers have RTV sealant covering them). There are two on either side where the bumper meets the fender. You will need to remove the forward liners to access them. It's easier with the front wheels removed.

I started in the centre and lifted up as much as I could and then tightened the nuts in the boot area. I then did one side at a time at the fender attachment. It's not flush as it wasn't before I took the bumper off but the gap is smaller than 1/4 inch.
