My 2005 F430 sticker showed MPG ratings of 11 city & 16 highway. The sticker on my 2006 F430 shows 12 & 17 respectively, with no change in horsepower or other specs.

Any one know what has changed?

but you got it made with 2 F430s...Might be wise to flip one for profit.

does it matter? The rating must be much lower if you are driving these cars the way they are supposed to be driven

I agree completely.. when i go to buy a ferrari, the first thing that i look at is certainly not the gas mileage.. and i know that my 430 doesnt get that type of mileage the way i drive it ;)

I believe the EPA changed the method a little bit. The result is hybrid cars like the Prius have seen MPG ratings actually decline a little and other cars MPG ratings have increased a little. I don't have an F430 yet, and I would love to have one so if you're willing to spare one let me know and I will see what kind of MPG I can achieve with it. Currently I get anywhere from ~8-20 with my E60 M5 and about the same with my Z8. All depends on how I am driving it.

    best regards,
    Jerry

I was getting about 7.5 to 8 MPG in the city.

Does it really matter? All you really need to know is that gas is the cheapest thing you are ever going to put in the car!!

There is an upshift light in the newer year F430. Based on that alone the EPA
mileage could easily be changed. Its worked for every other car manufacturer that has used it.
