  1. FerrariChat Miami - Earlybird $ ENDS August 24th at 5pm. https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/ferrarichat-miami-earlybird-ends-august-24th-5pm.582547/ Everything with the event is confirmed and all deposits paid. We already have a double digit number of cars entered including 430 to 488's and 599 to 812's sprinkling in some Californias and classics like 328's. Yes, we have Lamborghinis and McLarens too. We're staying at the Ritz Carlton - Key Biscayne on the beach with events at Homestead Race Track, Miami Design District, The Deck, and Curtiss Mansion.

So there I was happily cruising north on 95 when suddenly my vision was obscured and it felt as though I was wearing a dusty shawl for a chapeau. It took a moment to realize that the leather headliner on my F430 had completely peeled free and dropped onto my head. The whole kit and caboodle! Strange. And not just the headliner, but I was entirely coated with fine and not-so-fine remnants of black foam – as was the entire interior of my car.

Apparently, in addition to 'sticky buttons,' cracking manifolds, and disintegrating exhaust systems, our 360s and 430s are also notorious for their headliners' peeling free.

Now emotionally recovered, I can only imagine what it would cost to have the old adhesive and foam removed and the headliner replaced were I to take it to a local dealer. More psychic damage no doubt. Any suggestions on a competent and reasonably priced upholsterer in the Pompano/Ft. Lauderdale area? (Especially helpful if there's someone who will perform the repair at my office or home.)

Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

Not too long ago, my headliner came down in my 360. Luckily I was not driving at the time. I talked to a couple of shops in and around Orlando. I decided to do the job myself. I had a thread going in the 360/430 Forum that detailed what I did. I took my time and it turned out great. The crappy foam, some sort of tar paper insulation had to go. Most all came out pretty easy. I used Dynamat and Dynaliner to upgrade sound deadening and heat insulation. Find my thread and have a go at it or have the shop do you a better finished job. By the way, Most All interior trim panels need to come out and Ferrari uses cheap, brittle plastic 'trees' to hold the trim pieces in, and they break!

    Good Luck!!!!

365,000,000 miles seems like an awfully long way to go to get a headliner.
