Hey guys, so today I went to watch up my girl from hibernation. I was doing some work on her, opened the trunk to toggle the battery off to kill the car. When I turned it back on I noticed that the hood latch would not lock. It will close and stay in safety position without opening, but will not fully shut. I tested the latch and it doesn't appear to want to lock closed. It is well lubed and was prior to storage. I attempted to lock/unlock the car in attempts to maybe wake the lock up but no luck. Could the battery reset have caused the issue? Any other trouble shooting I should do? If not, do I replace the latch? Thanks guys!

This happened to me. It turns out that I had inadvertently pulled the safety trunk release cable in the trunk. This is a safety feature required in US cars. Don't know if Canada has a similar requirement. I just pulled on the cable and the problem went away.

I removed the carpet and took a look. Everything was corroded and rusted - caused it to sieze. I order a new latch and cables. The install should be a treat!
