I've got the JVC KD-NX5000 in my F430. Navigation, 40GB hard drive, iPOD, Sat Radio, Bluetooth handsfree, DVD video, remote camera and more all in a single DIN package that looks like Ferrari should have sourced it!

I'll post pictures when I'm back in town. Until then, check the review -

that looks great - any issues with installation? Does it just fit staright in and could you use the becker mic for the bluetooth phone or did they install a different one?

Slides right in with zero mods to the car. Unit comes with its own mic which works better than the stock Becker unit. You can actually use the bluetooth hands-free capability and an added bonus is that this unit supports both bluetooth address book profile and A2DP/AVRCP for stereo audio streaming!

Navi system works well. Up to date database, route calc and re-calc are lighting fast, generous amount of POI data, etc. The only limitation is screen size which I sacrificed to get that "factory look" that only a single DIN unit can provide.

The unit supports multiple tilt angles and various map display options. I generally familiarize myself with the entire route, then mostly navigate based on the audible directions, with only occasional glances at the screen.

FWIW, every F430 owner that has actually seen it, likes it.

Thanks much; looks very nice. Agree with you. "factory look" and "built in" are also important to me. It would be nice to have a larger screen but can't have everything. Maybe Ferrari will come out later (next model) with a "built in" larger screen. Al

Not bad for $650 or so you can get it for. The Bluetooth and ipod adapter are expensive!

Might do this on my F430.

Not sure where your located but if your in nyc technik1 is doing my 430 currently. Replacing the stock unit with a pioneer avic n3, rear view camera, ipod, and a bunch of other goodies. I'll post pics in friday when I get the car back but if your looking for a good installer in the tri state give Gus or Angelo a ring.

I just fitted a full system in my F430 F1:

    - Focal K2 Power 6.5 Inch components
    - 4 JL Audio 8 inch W3 subs
    - Audison Amp
    - Kenwood KVT 829 DVD with Nav, Ipod VIDEO, Bluetooth

GO WITH KENWOOD!!! Pioneer will dissapoint you!

I looked into Alpine, Eclipse, Pioneer. JVC.... The most advanced is the Kenwood. The touch screen is amazing and it has a 5 volt out which is beeter than all the others.

I bought alpine and returned it for this... IT IS AMAZING

    The Hacker in me says
"Crack open this unit and see if you can shove a 2.5" 200GB or better HDD in it."
If so, I'll clone the old drive to the new for more space :)
I did this with my DVR's already so the same principle.
