Hi guys. I just purchased F430 and im from Melbourne. I tryied Shannon insurance and for the value of 200K they asking for 3900. Im 32 years old and i have lost my license for 3 months two years ago. Not been involved in an accident before and dont have conviction. Please help me if you know anyone cheaper otherwise i have no choice other than to go with them. Thanks in advance for your help.
Did you try asking for a low use policy? Unless you use it as a daily driver, the cost for irregular use should be half that, surely!
Yes i did ask for low use I only managed to get a respond from shannon 3900 Famous 3800 Not really sure if this is the right price to insure such a car. Others that i have contacted not willing to insure due to licenses suspension few years ago.
You’ll get a multi policy discount as well as a discount for having a CAMS license. Being 32 shouldn’t be an issue? I always thought general rule of thumb was, premium is 1% of insured value, but I’m sure I’ll be corrected. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Also the claims history of the postcode where the car is kept and how the car is garaged will make a big difference to the premium. In any case $3900 is not too bad considering no one else has offered to insure it, your previous license suspension and no prior exotic car ownership history. With a few "claim free' years and a clean driving record the premium will come down.
