I had a front parking light go out in my F430 a couple of weeks ago. I looked for replacement h6w at all local parts stores, but no luck. I decided to go for LED replacement and could not be happier. You only have to remove one of the two locking pins on the LED with a small grinder. (I used my Dremel tool) attached are some pictures of the bulb type and of the car with only one side installed to show difference in brightness.

LED tubes might be more attractive, but it seems more complicated. From what I've read it involves soldering, etc. this can lead to blown fuses and other issues if not done properly. On the other hand, on the LED bulbs all you have to do is remove one of the locking pins. Other than that is just a matter of swapping bulbs as per instructions in the owners manual and with the bonus of not overloading the electrical system.

Edgar, I got the exact same LED bulbs as you. Thanks for the info.
They make a huge difference. I love them.... looks more updated then the dingy yellow. I wanted to do the tubes too but this was much easier without having to worry about modding it.
Install on these are simple but you need small hands to get in there without taking the wheels off. Just turn over the wheels for each side for room and its fine.

Have you done the license plate bulbs yet?

    Heres how they look

I have done license plate lights with LEDs also. I'm not crazy about having that much bright light Back there but is just personal opinion. Bought those at local AutoZone parts store. Attached is a picture of the packaging, Try them. You can play with pointing the light down or away from license plate for different brightness. They are 36 mm long with 3 LEDs each.

Hi, I am very interested on changing the old and orange front parking light.

Simply be changing the bulb for one another and are therefore already?

You do not have to do anything else in the car?

    Regards.

Hard to tell from picture, but one of the small pins at the base of the LED has been removed. This has to be done because the pins on the LED are 180 degrees from each other, and on the OEM bulb they are offset. Just take LED and grind one pin off. They will fit just fine with the one remaining pin.

I am very happy with the cores that I purchased from 05-09 Ferrari F430 — Super LED Headlights

I wanted to clear the amber lens and still have it light amber with the turn signal activated. Even the DRL's turn amber with the turn signal. They are the perfect level of brightness and look fantastic with just the parking lights on. It really gives the car a modern update that does not look aftermarket at all. You would swear it came like this straight from the factory. A little pricey, but worth every penny to me.

As you can see in the pic, the drivers side daytime led strip is out. Not a bad connection and not a fuse. I would take it to my local Ferrari dealer but I already caught them in a five thousand dollar lie! Any ideas?

Wow. Talk about Ferrari inflation. Wholesale cost of those upgrades - plastic lens + LED - in my view is $2-300. And for $3000 they want you to do the fitting! No thanks.

As long as the reverse lights are working I won't worry about them. I replaced the front parking lights because to me they look bad being yellow right next to headlights which are white. I replaced license plate lights because one of the original bulbs was blown. I have been working on other things lately, like exhaust. Stereo system is next. BTW what's your name and where r u located?

I am posting two pics today. One is the stock H6W bulb illuminated. As you know this bulb lights the mock LED light strip that runs as a parking light. You will see where this factory bulb is not much brighter than an old fashioned flashlite. In pic two you will see the aftermarket LED bulbs purchased on Ebay for eleven bucks! They are four times brighter than stock. If you search, you can find them with the proper 150 degree angle, eliminating the need to dremel a pin off.

Ebay link? Do the LEDs get very hot? I ask, because some do, and could possibly damage the light fixture if not tested and verified first. Thanks!
