    Hi all,

What is your experience after having removed the hoses from the exhaust bypass valves for a while? Did you experience any problems since?

I've removed mine since a while and for now couldn't see any problem at all. Although, I always cold start my 430 with the hoses plugged in just in case of there would be too much air sucked in the cats. Once the engine warmed up, I remove them. I got so addicted to the great noice that I can't imagine driving her without it. Never had a CEL (no reasons it would), neither power loss. With the bypass valves permanently open, the engine is even much more progressive and responsive.

Would love to have your return of experience too on this matter.

    Cheers,
    Stef

    3000+ miles no issues..
I leave mine unpluged all the time. I would not be happy about the prospect of pulling off the road and reaching into a hot engine bay near the exhaust muffler and fooling around trying to replug the valves,.... unless I am missing something in your post.

Sorry, I wasn't clear enough in my previous post. Actually, I'm pulling them off before getting the car out of the garage after having warmed up the engine during 5/10 min. The muffler is then still not very hot and it remains easy the pull off the vacuum hoses. I did this for about 7.000 km and so far, so good.

Unpluged my hoses the second day I had the car and 33,000 miles later no problems.

P.S. The car gets faster with more miles.
    Don't tell anyone.

The motor gets broken in, less friction, and therefore makes more power. Commonly known fact, that as the motor breaks in, and all the metal seats in, the amount of friction drops off, and it makes more power. A good reason to change the oil more frequently during the first few thousand miles. In my plane, when we rebuild the motors, we change the oil at one hour, 5 hours, and 25 hours. You'd be surprised at how much metal you find in the first 1 or 2 oil changes, and then after it's is seated, how little metal you get.
