I did a search and every thread I found was on a 360. I have an F430 Spider. My oil pressure used to be pretty steady at middle mark 70 psi once engine is warmed up. Went for a drive last weekend and the needle would hunt, then it pegged max at 140, then a few minutes later dropped to zero, red low level light came on. I checked & Oil quantity is fine. Looks like Oil Pressure Transmitter is going bad. Original part number is 201207. Superseded by P/N: 304074 According to Ricambi, part number for F430 is 304074, $265.00 each. Has anyone replaced theirs. Is it easy to do? Do I need to drain the oil? Thanks in advance for any info you can share. I will also now check workshop manual. Dan Dan Image Unavailable, Please Login
Drive it hard for a while. Mine did the same thing. I immediately stopped and checked for oil level and flow. A bit of carbon deposit probably got lodged in the sender unit. I flogged mine for about 15 mins and it’s been good ever since. Also, I change fluids every 5k klms, in case you were wondering. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I will try that. Thanks! I just had my annual service done 3 months ago so I think I'm good oil and brake fluid wise. I just also had my F1 System fluid flushed and system recalibrated just last week. Also had transmission fluid flushed. Dan Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
