I'm looking to replace the paddle shifters on my 2007 430 with an aftermarket
carbon fiber shifter from Exotica Motorsports.

If anyone here has put on a carbon fiber paddle shifter on the 430 please post a
    picture.

Can the install be done easily or do I need to take it to a mechanic?

    Thank You!

I did mine in my CS last week - and I had to remove the steering wheel. It will be the third one I've done - and there was no way I could have done it without removing the wheel. Still do-able. You just have to kill the battery - remove the airbag (two screws on the steering collunm under plastic buttons) then remove the 4 screws that hold the wheel to the hub - and then unplug the wires to the horn. I'm sure its more complex if you have a 430....

basically sums it up, turn steering wheel where you have access to the screws, then unscrew and re screw

Agree but it will also be easier to turn the wheel for the bottom screws on either side they are a little trickier to get at.

Hi Stuart, Did you try and remove just the trim panel around the wheel prior to removing the steering wheel?
