F430 Recall

Just got a phone call from my local F dealer apparently ferrari are recalling my car for ignition coil problems to prevent misfire ?
I have not got the full story yet but wondered if anyone else has had the call ......keep you all posted

Just had a message to to phone my dealer regarding a recall...don't know what for yet. Mines 07 build.

 

Yes it was for the ignition coils... they've said they want the car sooner than later!

 

what is the web site that you can go to to look up recalls ..campaing issues etc.? this would tell you if there is a recall ?van

 

Had mine done a few weeks ago. Listed as campaign 274 - Ignition coil vent protection kit.

"This effects the 430 Coupe vehicles from assembly number 57366 up to and including assembly number 67962 that have Bosch ignition coils are involved in a campaign to cover the ignition coil breather holes to help prevent premature wear of the spark plugs."

Interesting that they state 430 'Coupe' vehicles.

I had mine done as well. I think they simply put on new/improved rubber boots to better protect the coils.

what is assembly #? whats that mean, how do I know if mine is in there?

 

The assembly # plate, (silver/blk) is on the left side of your engine compartment behind the exhaust.

 

Where can I find my vehicle assembly number? Any idea what build date assembly number 67962 would correspond to?

It's recall #225 for my Spider . Haven't taken it in yet.....................weather issues here in Michigan .
