Recently took my 2008 F430 out for a drive only to discover when I returned a rock chip in one of my coves. The cove is stock gray and the chip shows up white. Anybody know of a repair kit to fix this sort of thing. I hate looking at a white gash in what otherwise is a perfectly smooth cove.

mine look like they've been sand blasted .. I like think of it as adding character & showing it isn't a garage queen .. but I guess you can clear wrap it after a touch-up or respray though

Mine are wrapped with clear bra.

Just respray and our clear bra.

I'm the mean time. Just use touch up paint to mask it.

I am looking into doing a carbon fiber insert. Won't replace anything, but seems like that car needs it. Will post pics if they come out good.

I found grey Toyota touch up paint at my local auto parts store that matches pretty darn good. The code on the bottle is TY01614 Phantom Grey 1E3. Give it a shot.

Doesn't Ferrari make paint that matches the gray?

Yes, it is on here somewhere. PPG something or other. I got the code but couldnt find any touch up paint online. I beleive ducati matte black is the same code, so i am giving that a try.

Ok will do - should check it out this weekend. It had the same ppg code and I saw a pic of it on a ducati and it looked very familiar. :)

Seems to be a good match. Here is a pic of a Ducati part - Looks very similar to the coves and the difusser color, no? :)

And here are a couple of test shots against my rear diffuser. Think it will match up well for any touch ups needed.

The code for the paint is PPG 248514. I couldn't find any touch up kits for this paint code and ordered the Ducati Matte Black from Color Rite since you can get whatever you want that way - Paint pen, aerosol can, etc.

Just an update - This was not a good match. Came out too black.

Went to autozone and bought a few different types of rattle cans and found one that came out very well. Will take pictures next weekend.
